We are really very interested in the cessation of the activities of all armed groups in eastern DRC, so that peace can be restored there. And especially so that the sovereignty of the DRC can be paramount in this part of the country, "said the Russian ambassador.
According to him, his country intends to continue its military cooperation with the DRC for the restoration of peace in the east of the country. "We are very interested. And we also talk about the interest of the Congolese side in promoting our military cooperation, "he said.
Alexey Sentebov also recalls that a year ago, Russia granted "very important aid to the DRC. This is a very important batch of weapons and ammunition that are currently used by the FARDC in the East, especially in the fight against armed groups".
